For your continued health and convenience, we have an
individualized
preventive dentistry program. Early detection is the key to avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus
- the main causes of decay and periodontal disease. In fact, the major cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontal disease, which is known as the silent killer of teeth because
most patients feel no symptoms until it is too late. About
75 percent of Americans have some form of periodontal disease. With regular dental visits, we can treat gum disease at an early stage, before it gets out of hand.

A complete set of teeth improves your confidence and self-esteem, but it also increases the longevity of your natural teeth by removing stress placed on them. Dr. Nghi Trinh-Pham has several procedures to help
replace missing teeth, including
bridges and natural looking partial or full dentures. It is not necessary to live with missing teeth any longer.

We can take care of your existing crowns and bridges or insert
new ones.
All porcelain crowns maintain a translucency that makes them hard to distinguish from natural teeth. Without the metal, the problem of a dark line at the edge of the gums is eliminated. The new technological breakthrough in the cements and stronger porcelain materials make it possible to create
longer lasting crowns. Fixed bridges replace missing teeth. They are most commonly porcelain and metallic framed for strength.
Bridges prevent loss of chewing function and shifting of teeth which can lead to bite and jaw joint problems.
Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth. Dentures allow patients to chew and speak more easily while improving their appearance and often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when all of a patient's teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures, or bridges, are used when only a few teeth are missing. In either case, dentures can help you look and feel your best. Call (281) 485-6088 or contact us
online to ask about Dentures or partials.

Many adults want to change their smiles. Some want to correct
problems they have had since childhood (discolored, gapped, or
crooked teeth). Others want to fix conditions they have developed over time (cracked or worn-down teeth) to help create a more youthful smile.
If your teeth are dark or worn and make you look older, if gaps or chips make you feel self-conscious, or if crooked or discolored teeth stop you from smiling fully, a Smile Makeover can help. Although every patient's smile is unique,
some new smiles are completed in a single visit.
A Smile Makeover can redesign the shape of your gums and teeth,
and change the overall look of your smile. It's not just about
beautifying your smile, although that is of extreme importance.
It is also about adjusting your bite so that it is healthy and strong.
In composite dentistry we apply tooth-colored material to the surface of the tooth, layer by layer in a way an artist applies paint to a canvas. Bonding
covers discolorations, repairs chips, breaks and cracks and fills in gaps. A composite restoration may be used when only a small amount of tooth structure needs replacement.
Composite dentistry is one of the most conservative, versatile and affordable
ways to aesthetically restore a multitude of cosmetic problems. It can be used to
replace unattractive metal fillings, repair fractured teeth, or change the color of stained teeth. Cosmetic contouring is a reshaping procedure that can
repair fractured or worn teeth due to accidents or habitual grinding. Contouring can also be used for isolated stains, and to fix irregular teeth.
ClearCorrect is a clear unnoticeable braces system which uses a series of clear retainers to straighten your teeth
and create a beautiful smile with barely an impact on your life.
There are no wires or brackets and your ClearCorrect aligners can be removed for eating, drinking,
and brushing your teeth. Call us at (281) 485-6088 or

ClearCorrect braces.

The ZOOM! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary
teeth whitening procedure. It's
safe, effective and fast - very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for
immediate results. The convenience of Zoom! in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.
The procedure is simple, painless, and fast. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. We then apply the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become
at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedures. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.

Tooth veneers, thin porcelain layers placed on the front of your teeth,
can be placed on one or more teeth. Most patients choose to have tooth veneers on their front teeth
because those are the teeth that others notice the most when you smile.
Tooth-colored restorations are superior to the older silver fillings in many ways. They can restore teeth to their original look and function and help maintain their strength. In fact, white fillings are the state-of-the-art alternative to rebuilding teeth. Dr. Nghi Trinh-Pham creates natural-looking, high-quality dental restorations that may prevent the need for more extensive treatment later.
Although Dr. Trinh-Pham is a general dentist, she has completed orthodontic programs and thus is able to provide limited
orthodontic treatment for adolescents and children.
An orthodontic problem is called a malocclusion, meaning "bad bite." Some examples of causes of malocclusion are
crowded teeth, extra teeth, missing teeth or jaws that are out of alignment. Most malocclusions are inherited, although some can be acquired. Acquired malocclusions can be caused by accidents, early or late loss of baby teeth, or sucking of the thumb or fingers for a prolonged period of time.
We perform root canals to prevent tooth extraction when the inner soft tissue of a tooth becomes damaged, infected, or inflamed. Once we remove the damaged tissue, we carefully fill the canal, seal it and crown it to protect the tooth and restore its functionality. Signs you may need endodontic treatment include pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch and chewing, and discoloration of the tooth.
Periodontal diseases are classified according to severity – the two types being gingivitis and periodontitis.
Gingivitis is milder and reversible - only affecting the gums, which are usually red, tender, and bleed easily.
Periodontitis is much more serious and destructive.
Periodontitis leads to receding gums, bone-loss, infection, and loose teeth.
Periodontal Diseases Linked to Other Health Problems
It is now widely known that people with periodontal diseases are at
increased risk of developing heart disease, respiratory
disease, and of having low birth-weight newborns. Periodontal disease has also been linked to
diabetes and vice versa.
Treatment methods depend upon how far the condition has progressed. The first step is usually a thorough cleaning that includes scaling to remove plaque and tartar deposits. The tooth roots also may be “planed” to smooth the root surface to allow the gums to heal by reattaching to the tooth. This is known as “periodontal scaling and root planing” and is a common
non-surgical treatment for periodontitis. Dr. Trinh-Pham may also recommend or prescribe special mouth rinses and antibiotics to help maintain good periodontal health.
You don’t have to lose your teeth to periodontal disease. Brush, clean between your teeth (by flossing), eat a balanced diet, and schedule regular preventive care visits for a lifetime of healthy smiles. Regardless of your oral health status, we are committed to making each preventive care visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
